Lonicera x xylosteoides 'Claveyi' - Clavey's Honeysuckle
Leaves - Opposite, simple, broad-ovate, 1-2½ inches long, dark or grayish green and sparingly pubescent or glabrous above, paler and pubescent beneath with margins somewhat hairy fringed.
Buds - Brownish, wooly pubescent.
Growth Habit - This is a 3 to 6 foot dwarf form used for hedges quite a bit.
Stem - Pubescent with brown pith.
Flower - White to yellow-white often tinged red and blooms in mid-May. It is borne in peduncled pairs.
Fruit - Dark red berry ripening in July and August.
