Viburnum x burkwoodii - Burkwood Viburnum
Leaves - Opposite, simple, oblong, 1½-2½ inches long, lustrous darkgreen above, a bit rough to touch, more tomentose beneath (semi-evergreen habit).
Stem - Light tan in color and tomentose.
Growth Habit - Upright, multistemmed, often tangled giving a more ragged appearance.
Flowers - Pink in bud to white in flower, aromatic fragrance.
Fruit - Red changing to black in July and August, drupe character of fruit and more sparsely produced.
