Viburnum opulus - European Cranberrybush Viburnum
Leaves - Opposite, simple, similar to V. trilobum, with rather shorter, more toothed lobes, pubescent beneath or sometimes glabrous, petiole 2/5 - 4/5" long, with narrow grooves and few large disk-like glands.
Buds - Plump, 2 to 3 scaled, greenish-reddish brown, glabrous, shiny.
Fruit - Berry-like drupe, bright red persisting into the winter.
Stem - Light gray, glabrous, smooth.
Flowers - White borne on 2-3" diameter flat topped cymes.
