Pinus mugo - Mugo Pine

Growth Habit - Spreading, shrub-like; however, tremendously variable.

Bark - Brown-gray, scaly and split in irregular plates.

Needles - In clusters of two, often sickle shaped, curved toward branches, apex slightly blunt, 1 1/4
               to 1 3/4 inches long, medium green color with marginated resin ducts.

Cones - Sessile or short-stalked, erect horizontal or slightly pendulous, either single or in 2, 3 or
            4’s and from 3/4 to 2 1/2 inches long.
