Juniperus sabina - Savin Juniper

Growth Habit - Spreading upright shrub and somewhat vase-shaped.

Branches - Ascending upwards and rather slender.

Leaves - Needle-shaped leaves on young plants and lots of times on older trees; apex sharply
             long pointed, bluish-green in color with a conspicuous mid-rib above. Older leaves,
             scale-like, ovoid, entire and bluish-green in color (strong odor when bruised).

Fruit - On recurved stalks, globose, bluish-black and composed of 4 to 6 scales.
