Juniperus squamata - Singleseed Juniper

Growth Habit - Variable dwarf, ascending or erect shrubs.

Branches - Young branchlets green, thick with top ascending and older branchlets reddish brown.

Leaves - Crowned in whorls of 3’s and green, older branchlet needles reddish brown, crowded,
             finely pointed, convex above and grooved from the base to near the apex.

Fruit - Elliptic, reddish brown and changes to purplish black and seeds solitary.
