Clematis x jackmanii - Jackman Clematis

Leaves - Opposite, pinnately compound and sometimes simple near shoot end, 3 to 5 or more leaflets;
             leaflets large and generally hairy beneath.

Flowers - Violet purple, July into September, four to seven inches across and flowers on new growth.

Growth Habit -  Viny with branchlets which wind around objects.

Twigs - Six-angled and brown when older.

Fruit - Achene, with 1-2” long persistent style which is clothed with long silky hairs.
